Day # 15 - Heading home? Maybe. Maybe not...Can you stand the suspense?!

Day # 14 - Barcelona and MontserratOur last day of sightseeing....
Day # 13 - Back to BarcelonaSaturday morning we woke up with the ship docked in Barcelona. Our disembarkation breakfast was back in Animators Palette around 8:15. Our tablemates were heading back to Seattle on an early flight so they did not come to breakfast. After breakfast we were to meet up with Mikki & Andrew in the corridor leading to AP because we were sharing a transfer company that Mikki had found. Although we were not staying in the same hotels post-cruise the company was willing to drop both of us off at our respective hotels for no extra charge. This would save both of us about 27-30 Euros with the tip (with the poor conversion rate at the time we were there that was about $40 USD). We had read that the taxi cue line wasn’t so bad with the early breakfast disembarkation people but by the time the 2nd breakfast seating the line would be about 90 minutes long – especially with other ships in the port. So booking a private transfer was definitely the best plan for this day. Post cruise I had booked a room for us at the Hotel Jazz which was located at the top of Las Ramblas, just a couple blocks off the Placa Catalunya. It was just feet from a metro stop and very conveniently located to Las Ramblas. I had read good things about it on the DISboards and Cruise Critic plus it was consistently rated in the top 10 hotels in Barcelona during my research period. I had a few criteria that I was looking for in a hotel for this part of our trip – FIRST was that they offered a room that would sleep more than 2 so we wouldn’t have to book 2 rooms (VERY hard to find in Europe) and that they have a pool so we could have some down time at the end of the day and 3rd it needed to be affordable. The Hotel Jazz fit all 3 (although it was considerably more expensive than the Novotel we stayed at pre-cruise). The Hotel Jazz was noticeably very modern as soon as you entered (as was the Novotel). Barcelona was completely different from Paris in this respect. Paris was very old and everything there remained in a charming Parisian period while Barcelona was extremely modern & seemed to be on the cutting edge of design. I had booked us a “triple” room again and since it was only about 9:30 am when we arrived our room was not ready yet. I didn’t expect that it would be ready so we stored our luggage in their storage room and asked where we could purchase Hop On Hop Off (HOHO) bus tickets. HOHO buses were very popular around both Paris & Barcelona and I had read they were a great way to see Barcelona. (They are double-decker buses with open tops that allow good sightseeing opportunities – the tickets come with little ear phones so you can listen to an audio guide while you ride.) The hotel receptionist said they could sell them to us right there at a 3 Euro discount. YAY! With the poor conversion rate (about 1.5) we’d take any savings we could get!! The front desk receptionist directed us to the closest HOHO bus stop which was only a block away so we took our tickets and walked over there. There were 2 routes (red and blue). We were on the blue route which was the one we wanted. It would visit most of the famous sites we wanted to see around Barcelona. The buses ran very frequently (every 5-10 minutes) so we didn’t have to wait long for the next bus. First up was Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi’s house, Caso Batllo. We got off the bus and crossed the street to this famous house which is decorated with colored glass and ceramic. The façade is covered with glass mosaics and has mask shaped balconies. There was a line waiting to get in and we could see a line thru the windows snaking thru the house on some of the upper floors. Silly me, I hadn’t researched entrance to this particular building ahead of time & was shocked to find that admission was 18 Euros per person and cash only, no credit cards. WHAAAT?! That was absurd!! That would convert to about $81. NOPE. We decided going inside was not worth it to part with that much of our cash. I had calculated & planned out how much cash we would need for our last 2 days in Barcelona before we left the ship and had cashed enough in traveler’s checks at Guest Services to last us 2 days without too much to spare (didn’t want to be stuck with more Euros than we needed with the horrible conversion rate). I had set aside money in envelopes for our transfers & taxis, metro and train tickets to Montserrat, HOHO bus tickets & a little for miscellaneous (light meals, snacks, drinks & tips). I definitely wanted to tour inside La Sagrada Familia later in the day and wanted to preserve our Euros for that admission (that was only about 11 or 12 Euros pp which was more reasonable). While I really wanted to see the dragon inspired rooftop at Casa Batllo and I was sure the building was just as fascinating inside as it was on the outside we had to settle with studying the exterior architecture and catching the bus to the next stop. On the way back over to the HOHO bus stop we noticed that the sidewalks had intricate patterns in the concrete. Barcelona is definitely an interesting city. On the way to La Sagrada Familia the bus went by Casa Milaarcelona, or la Pedrera – another famous Gaudi work which is actually an apartment building that has wavy walls. We didn’t get off to look here, only snapped a quick picture on the drive by it. Next up, La Sagrada Familia – architect Antonio Gaudi’s and Barcelona’s most famous building. This cathedral was started in 1882 by architect Fransisco de Paula del Villar. Gaudi was commissioned in 1883 to carry out the design and he worked on it until he died in 1926. Since then there have been different architects that have worked on it based on his original plans. The entire project has been constructed based solely on donations & contributions which is one reason why it still isn’t completed yet. The hope is that it will be done by 2026 (the 100 year anniversary of Gaudi’s death). When the church is completed it will have 18 towers (spires) which represent the 12 apostles, 4 evangelists, one for Jesus and one for Mary. When we got off the HOHO bus at the Sagrada Familia stop we weren’t sure what to do. Not knowing what time we’d be there for sure I had not pre-purchased entrance tickets online and the line to purchase tickets to go in literally went all the way around the block. EEEK!! We walked all the way around trying to decide what to do. I asked someone near the front of the line if they spoke English & when they said yes I asked how long they’d been waiting & he said about an hour. OK, so we’ll wait. I really wanted to see inside and didn’t want to deal with coming back at a later time. By the time we walked back around to find the end of the line it appeared to have gotten just a tad shorter maybe. Or maybe that was wishful thinking. I think we waited about 45 or 50 minutes. As we studied the exterior architecture you could really see the difference in the old parts of the building next to the newer construction. The stone facade is different due to both differences in materials used and age (oxidation). As soon as we passed thru the entrance gate and got closer to the Passion Façade we could tell this was really going to be a different kind of cathedral than any others. Next to one of the carvings beside the entrance there was a carved mathematical square with 4 squares in it, each with a numeral on it. Jared looked at it for all of about 1 minute and then said if you add any line of 4 squares together whether vertical, horizontal or diagonally you will get 33 (bright kid to have figured that one out right?!). I have tried to research this “Magic Square” code a little & the reasoning & theory are not 100% in agreement to this cryptic message (Dan Brown hasn’t been consulted yet LOL) but 33 is the age of Christ at the time of his death so it may be a reference to that. Its numerical code / meaning is still up for debate. As soon as we walked into the cathedral we were immediately awestruck by the strange, yet beautiful architecture. We’d never seen anything so odd and captivating at the same time. It was really gorgeous but it sort of makes you think that Gaudi was on something. I mean, really. It’s a strange building and when you look at it and some of his other works (we went to Parc Guell later that day) you really sort of have to wonder what was going on in this man’s mind. The stained glass windows were incredible and sun made them reflect off the shiny pipes on the pipe organs. The Apse where the alter area is located was enormous and almost overwhelming. Suspended in the center from above was a sort of a canopy thing with a replica of Christ on the cross hanging from it. It almost appeared to float above the alter area. There were huge gigantic twisted stone columns, spiral staircases, stained glass windows, elaborately carved stone works at every turn. The details were incredible. The designs on everything were the most unique patterns ever. It is really hard to describe everything you see because there’s just so much. There still are no pews in the cathedral, only folding chairs in the audience area. When we had finished walking around the inside we exited on the Nativity Façade side where we could examine it closer. It was the first façade to be completed and has 4 towers and 3 doorways and was dedicated to the birth of Jesus. After we left the grounds of La Sagrada Familia we decided it was time for some lunch before moving on and we walked around for awhile looking for a place to eat. We finally chose an outdoor café with some tapas on the menu. We were still experimenting with the whole tapas thing. We weren’t entirely thrilled with our choices – lunch was OK, nothing memorable (and I forgot to take pics). After lunch we caught our HOHO bus again and rode it to Parc Guell. Parc Guell is a garden / park complex located at the top of a steep hill called El Carmel and it overlooks all of Barcelona. It was built between 1900 and 1914. The park was originally intended to include an upscale housing development which failed so it was converted into a public garden. It was a LONG walk uphill from the HOHO bus stop and it was VERY hot outside by this time. The sidewalk was a little crowded because one side was in the shade & everyone was walking up and down the hill on that side of the street. We passed more street performers like we’d seen in Montmartre that had painted themselves gold in order to perform their frozen statue gig in hopes of making a living on their mime talent. When we got to the top of the hill we were greeted with another Gaudi work of art. Glass mosaics were used to decorate the whole park. Everything was very whimsical in shape & color. A curved serpentine shaped wall with a built-in bench lines the entire perimeter of the main terrace. Gaudi created the curved design of the sea serpent bench from the shape of naked buttocks left in wet clay (go figure). It was curved to allow people to sit in small groups and talk privately. The bench was built so that after it rains the water would drain & collect in places to expedite drying. Gaudi built bumps into the rear area of the seat part of the bench to keep people from sitting in the puddles that collected. He also built in large bird nests around the back part of the terrace wall to blend in with the surrounding trees and foilage. There is a great view of the city from there (including La Sagrada Familia in the distance). We took our time descending the hill, stopping in a market for some cold bottled water. When we caught the HOHO bus again we still had to ride around the rest of the Blue route before we got back to the stop near our hotel. We were hot & tired & didn’t feel like getting off at any more of the stops. We just took a few pictures from our seats on the top deck of the bus as we wound our way thru the city. FINALLY, we got back to the Hotel Jazz around probably 4:00. We retrieved our luggage and went to find our room. This was a NEAT hotel and when we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised by what was almost a suite. It was a HUGE corner room. There was a big entrance hall with a long closet and lots & lots of windows. The main bedroom area had 2 single beds pushed together as the master bed and it was separated from the sitting area by a short wall so that there was almost 2 rooms. The sitting area had a pull-out sofa for Jared. It was really the biggest room we’d ever had anywhere. There was also a spacious bathroom with a tub / shower and a separate shower stall… We decided we wanted nothing more than to cool off in the rooftop pool so we dug out our bathing suits and changed & went up there. The pool was really small (and really shallow) and it appeared we were late to the party as there was no vacant lounge chairs left anywhere. There were 2 levels to the roof area – the first level where the elevator opened had lots of casual faux wicker seating for the bar then the upper level was up by the pool. Since there was no room up there we initially took up some seats on the first level while we waited for someone to leave. We noticed that there was some more of that famous European topless sunbathing going on. That sort of surprised me to see at the hotel pool. I sort of thought that would be more of a beach trend but apparently not – it was prevalent all over Europe any where there was water!! I guess it’s like doing a U-turn. If there’s no international driving sign with a crossed out U then you can do it. There were no signs to say it was unacceptable so they did it. Once again I tried to edit my pictures I took around the pool before I took them. We were hot & tired so the pool water was refreshing to take a dip in. There were no other kids around and Jared was bored (the topless view wasn’t something he was interested in – THANK GOODNESS) so he went back to the room to use his IPad. I got a Sangria from the bar & tried to relax for awhile. Eventually we went back to the room to shower for dinner. We walked down Las Ramblas looking for a place to eat but we just couldn’t seem to find a place that looked good. I don’t know what it was about the food in Barcelona but we weren’t feeling it for some reason. Finally, we were hungry & cranky so we just went into some place & ordered. Daryl tried some sort of chicken & seafood paella (ick). I don’t remember what Jared & I ordered. Maybe pizza. It wasn’t that good and was unmemorable whatever it was. I did take a picture of Daryl’s Paella tho. But I refused to try it – too many eyeballs, legs & tentacles in it for me!!! It didn’t look one bit appetizing in my book! He ate it because, well, because he was hungry but I don’t think he liked it that much. After dinner we walked back up Las Ramblas & over to our hotel, ready to crash. TOMORROW…we go to Montserrat – another big day. We had trouble sleeping though because the beds were VERY hard & we kept hearing the metro rumble below the hotel. We have a Select Comfort bed at home & we both keep it pretty soft so hard beds KILL us. We also couldn’t get used to that rumbling feeling from the metro. It was a bummer because the room was so nice. I hated that we couldn’t sleep… Tomorrow is our last day. Can't believe it's almost over already!!
Day # 12 - the port of Palma de Mallorca (aka Majorca)Oh how sad – today is the last day of our cruise! Waaaa! It went by so FAST!! Today we’re docked in Palma de Mallorca (also known as Majorca). Mallorca is one of the Balaeric islands belonging to the country of Spain. It is a small chain of islands in the Mediterranean that is sort of like the Bahamas of Europe. It is close & convenient so it’s a very popular vacation destination for many in the UK. Mallorca has 80 beaches but many are “European” (nude & topless) so we were hoping to just take a taxi from the port to one that was considered “family friendly”. We were kind of tired of the heavy duty sightseeing at this point so we had decided to skip touring more cathedrals & historic sites. With the prospect of 80 beaches we decided today would be another day of relaxation. We were due another day of rest!! The DCL beach excursion was going to a large public beach called Palma Nova which had public showers & (pay) toilets available so we figured surely it must be “family friendly”, right?! They were charging like $35 or so per person to ride a tour bus to / from and my research showed we should be able to take a taxi for about 20 Euros & go at our own pace so this was our plan. We slept in a little bit, got up & got dressed, ate breakfast at Topsiders and packed a couple of beach bags, grabbing some pool towels to throw in. I just wanted to be ready to go by around 9:30 so we could get to the beach early enough to rent lounge chairs. (I’d heard more than once that the beach would be busy with lots of UK folks “on holiday” and that the chairs could fill up.) It was kind of a long walk thru the port building to get out and not many signs to direct us but we sort of followed our noses and found our way out to find a taxi stand waiting with several taxis sitting there. We hopped into the first one in line and 15 or 20 minutes later we were at Palma Nova Beach!! It was a beautiful wide sandy beach with calm water lapping at the shore. There were thatched umbrellas & lounge chairs lined up in rows waiting for customers. We were early enough to have our pick of spots. The chairs & umbrellas had a little more space between them than at some of the other public beaches we’d seen on our trip but we still decided to go over to one side on the edge so we’d have more room to spread out to the side if we wanted to. There were 2 chairs but 3 of us so we figured someone may end up sitting on a towel some. Shortly after we picked our spot a guy came thru with a ticket book & money belt to collect money for the rentals. It was only like 10 or 12 Euros for the setup for the day - not too shabby. We weren’t there very long before we realized that “family friendly” in European beach lingo means only topless, not NUDE to Europeans. To my surprise there were several topless women walking around. Many looked like they’d been doing this for a LONG time. It really wasn’t a pretty sight in most cases. I tried to be careful when I was taking pictures to avoid having embarrassing moments in the background!! You can see that it wasn't bothering Daryl though!! It's hard to say what he was looking at behind those Maui Jim's!!!! Jared played around in the sand for awhile then decided he’d just as soon curl up for a nap in the shade. He’d had a pretty late night last night and I didn’t blame him for wanting a cat nap so we gave him a lounge chair to use for awhile. The teen club was a rough life!!! After awhile Daryl spied DIS peep Karen and her family down at the water hanging out on some rafts they’d bought at a shop across the street from the beach. They’d also just taken a taxi to the beach. There just really wasn’t any need to pay DCL $35 for a bus transfer. Thanks to the DISboards we’d been lucky enough to be able to plan this day on our own. I went down to the water to talk to Karen – I teased her that I wanted to make sure she wasn’t joining in the topless crowd. The water was PERFECT!! It was calm and warm and really nice to just bob around in for awhile. The water left us feeling a little sticky or something but there was a pair of showers not too far away so it was convenient to shower off after getting out. I guess we stayed at the beach until 1:00 or 1:30. We started to get hungry so we packed up & walked across the street and debated about having lunch there OR just going back to the ship to eat. Ultimately that’s what we decided to do. We’d given up our chairs & packed up so it seemed silly to waste money on a lunch when we could eat on the ship for free. There was a taxi stand right there at the beach so we just grabbed one back to the port. When we got back to the port we could see lots of boats in the Palma de Mallorca harbor and buses full of tourists unloading down below by the ship. I was really glad that we had avoided riding large crowded tour buses for the entire trip!! We had figured it all out without a tour group! After we got back to the ship & ate we just hung out at the pools. It was our last day on the cruise so sadly our time was short. Jared hadn’t been to the pool all week…this is one area that’s really lacking on the DCL ships. There’s the adult pool for 18+, then there’s a pool / splash area for the LITTLE kids and then there’s the “family” pool but it’s really polluted with smaller kids. There’s no real space for the tweens & teens to swim. Anyway, Jared said he would go to the family pool for awhile if Daryl would go with him. So they went there for a little while…but it was crowded & the water was cloudy from all the sunscreen so it really wasn’t something either of them wanted to do for very long. It was more just to say they did it. After that Jared went to the teen club until time for dinner & we tried to nap a bit at the adult pool. Since it was our last night on the cruise I had to finish packing up before we went to dinner. I had worked on it a little bit on our sea day, kind of organizing the dirty clothes etc. but I still needed to get all of the larger checked luggage ready to set out in the hallway by 10:00. Since we didn’t usually finish up our dinners until almost 10:00 that really meant have it ready BEFORE going to dinner. So I went back to the cabin to finish packing & organizing the luggage. I was grateful that we were spending a couple more nights in Barcelona and not flying the next day so that I didn’t need to worry about weighing everything just yet. I’d deal with that in a couple more days. I actually finished early enough that we were able to run out on deck to catch the sunset before heading to dinner. It was really the first one we’d caught all week because we’re usually AT dinner. But this time we were determined to catch it since it was our last chance. Jared came in to shower but had seen on the daily Navigator that the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie was playing in the theater at like 8:00 or something and he hadn’t had a chance to see it yet. He asked if he could go to that instead of going to dinner. We were like sure and told him he could either go up to Topsiders for something to eat or to Goofy’s Galley or Plutos Dog House OR we could see about ordering something off the menu to bring back to the room. He said he would like something from the menu so he showered & went off he went to the movie. Dinner on our last night was in Animator’s Palette. We asked our servers if we could order something for him to be ready later, right before we were done so that it would maybe still be warm. They were happy to accommodate us. We knew immediately from looking at the menu that he would want to order the shrimp & pasta Alfredo dish. I even asked for some extra pasta on the plate because I knew that would be his favorite part. They also had a spinach & artichoke type dip that night on the appetizers so we got him one of those plus a chocolate dessert of some sort & chocolate milk. They got the trays ready for us right before we finished & kept them at their serving station until we were done. We took them back to the room & left them on the coffee table. We set the luggage out in the hallway then we went shopping for some last minute souvenirs. The movie finished while we were shopping & he came back & ate his feast. When we got back to the room he was all smiles. He loved it all and was tickled to death with his last night on the cruise. Our very last towel animal was a bunny sitting on our pillows.
Day # 11 - A day at Sea (read: relaxation day)We awoke not to a port off our balcony but the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea. Today we would spend the day sailing from Naples to our next port, Palma de Mallorca. The only plans we have today are Palo brunch for Daryl and me (our first time doing this) and an afternoon hanging out by the pool. Jared was free to go in search of his own breakfast and the teen club activities & onboard movies – whatever he wanted to do. I had signed us up for the earliest brunch time offered (10:30) so that we could sleep in a little yet get done by Noon and have the rest of our day free. RATS!! I was hoping to sleep in but my body clock woke me up earlier than I’d hoped but Daryl & Jared were still sound asleep. So that I wouldn’t wake them up with my banging around in the cabin I got dressed & slipped up to Topsiders for coffee & a small pastry which I ate in the covered area outside on deck 9. Brunch was still like 2 1/2 hours away & I knew I couldn’t last that long without something to nibble on and a cup of coffee was a must have. After I finished that I walked by the pool & noticed people snagging lounge chairs already (it was only about 8:30 by now but it made me wonder if we’d be able to find chairs later). After wandering around for awhile I picked up a coffee for Daryl went back to the room to see if they were up yet. They weren’t up yet so I went out on the balcony to soak in the view for a few minutes & saw Kelly out on her balcony. They were coincidently in the next cabin down so I told her we’d be at the adult pool later if she got a chance to steal some time for herself. After awhile I decided it was late enough to wake the guys up. Finally it was time to get dressed for brunch. I was getting really excited to go because I’d read so many great things about Palo Brunch on the DISboards. We’d never been to Palo for brunch before so I was hoping it was as good as it had been made out to be. Many people like it better than Palo dinner and I was ready to compare for myself! We were the first ones to arrive and were assigned to a table by the windows with Maria as our server (she was the same one we had for our dinner a couple nights earlier and she was very good). Since we were the first ones in the restaurant I was able to expand my food porn shots & I grabbed several pictures of all of the buffet stations before they got all messed over. Maria explained to us what was where & how everything was set up and we dug in as other guests started to arrive. It was all reallllly good. I tried a little caviar for the first time (pretty tasteless really). But everything was very good & I went back for a small plate of seconds on a couple of things while we waited on our entrees. I was torn over their pizzas or the Veal Saltimbocca but since we’d had pizzas in Sorrento yesterday and I love veal I ordered that and it was FABULOUS. I don’t remember what Daryl ordered (GASP!). He may have actually shown restraint & ordered another drink rather than an entrée (unlike me who was a complete piglet)!! I took pictures of both of our plates from the buffet but I don’t have one of his entrée, only my veal. Hummmmmm. We finished up brunch around Noon and scampered back to the cabin to change into our bathing suits. We’d been on the go so much I had really been looking forward to this down time. We got to the pool a little after 12:30 and found 2 recently vacated lounge chairs. (I think some of the pool early birds I’d seen arriving at 8:00 were leaving already.) The adult pool was packed and we started settling into our chairs but quickly discovered it was going to get too hot to not keep at least SOME body part in the water so we moved over to the edge of the pool. The adult pool has a really wide ledge around it that is covered with a few inches of pool water – VERY nice to sit in the shallow water to stay cool. A few minutes later we saw Kelly come in to the pool area. We told her she could put her stuff on our chairs & join us in the pool ledge. Her husband had gone to see the latest Pirates in the Caribbean movie with their kids (she’d already seen it a couple of times and felt she could pass on this time) so she was kid free for a couple of hours. After awhile we decided to see what the “drink of the day” was…and it was Mojitos!! YAY!! We love Mojitos!! (Insert the Happy Dance here!!) The sea was pretty smooth & the ship didn’t even seem to have much rocking. The water in the pool wasn’t really even sloshing around much. Then we saw Luke come in to get wet & cool off. We asked where Paula was & he said they’d been hanging out back on the “secret deck 7 verandah” which is a little known deck located aft on deck 7 (to know about it is a DIS thing)!! But there was no shade or water there so he’d come to cool off. We told him when he went back he should tell Paula to come cool off & join us too. Not too long passed before they were both back to cool off and suddenly we had a little DIS meet / Mojito party going. Daryl had picked up a Cuban cigar in Sorrento so he went over by the Cove Café with his Kindle and his cigar while the rest of us hung out and stayed cool in the pool. At some point Goofy came by in his bathing suit & us girls got our picture taken with him. Fun!! Kelly eventually realized the movie was probably over so she left to go find her family. I hung out there with Luke & Paula until it was time for them to leave to get ready for their early dinner seating. I really made a day of it, staying as long as I could and truly enjoyed the afternoon with my new DIS friends... I really didn’t have anything else I wanted to do. No bingo, wine tastings, shows or movies could entice me to leave the pool. Nope. I was very happy to be right there doing nothing all afternoon. Since we’d had our late brunch we didn’t really have lunch…but wanted a snack to hold us until dinner so we got some fries by the pool to munch on. Nothing like hot fries!! These had just the right amount of crispiness & crunch. Tonight was “formal night” and I had bought Daryl & Jared teal / blue shirts to match & coordinate with my dress that I was wearing. I wanted us to go get pictures done before dinner again with us all dressed up so we eventually called it a day at the pool & went back to the room to clean up and get dressed up in our “finery”. Once we were ready we went down to the atrium to look at the photo backgrounds. It was sort of a hard choice. The background that we really liked meant having the Captain in our picture. We kinda just wanted a family shot, not one with a stranger in it so we finally settled on another one and got in line. Once again while we were wandering around the atrium we ran into Luke & Paula and Kelly’s family as well as Mikki & Andrew. Everybody was all dressed up and looked great!!! Our pictures from the night before (Pirate night) had come out really good so I was hopeful we’d have another good batch. But when we saw them the next day we were really disappointed in them and in the end did not buy any of the formal night ones. They were just sorta weird. The way they had posed one of my arms with my hand on my hip I had this huge black shadow under one arm and every time I looked at the pictures all I saw was an imaginary hairy arm pit!! LOL. It wasn’t reallllly hairy it was just an effect of how my arm was positioned but to me, whenever I looked at the pictures I couldn’t see anything but that arm pit!! ROFL. The other problem with them was that the black jacket I’d brought for Jared didn’t fit him very well, it was a little big, and so he didn’t look the best either. Daryl looked fine in all of them. But Jared & I, not so much. So that kinda sucked. I was really hoping that at least ONE of them would be good. Sadly I don’t have any family pictures of us all dressed up on our camera either...I got a couple of Daryl & Jared together though. But so if you’re on our Christmas card list don’t be surprised if you see one of our Pirate Night pictures on our cards this year but no dressy formal shots!! Dinner tonight was back in Lumiere’s (my fav). We ran into our tablemates in the atrium lobby too. I think a lot of people were getting family pictures done. I don’t have any food porn pictures of dinner from that night – I guess I forgot to bring the camera or something. When we got back to the cabin after dinner we had swans on the bed for our towel animals. The teen club was having a late night party and Jared went to that while we called it a night again. Tomorrow we were just planning a beach day on Mallorca so we didn’t need to rush around TOOOO early in the morning but I still urged Jared not to stay out until the party was over at 2:00 and he did come in somewhere between 1:00& 1:30. YAY! Now I could finally go to sleep.
